National Disaster Relief Foundation Announces Official Launch in Conjunction with America’s PrepareAthon!
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- The National Disaster Relief Foundation (“NDRF”) announced today its official launch, scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, timed to coincide with Wednesday’s “America’s PrepareAthon!” a National Day of Action devoted to disaster awareness and community preparedness.
The Foundation empowers families by providing a small benefit to support their rebuilding efforts. “FEMA, the American Red Cross, and other nonprofit organizations do a wonderful job of helping people when disasters occur”, said Foundation President Clinton Pipkin. “But these organizations are also constrained by the limits of their missions. Our only mission is to provide direct monetary relief to families to help pay for items that are not covered by insurance companies, or FEMA. These unmet needs carry very real costs for homeowners, burdening families with very unique challenges, which can complicate their ability to recover. That is where we come in”.
The Foundation also announced today the selection of EagleBank as their banking and merchant services provider. “We chose EagleBank because they understand our vision and they are motivated to help,” said Clinton Pipkin. “We couldn’t be happier. EagleBank’s community-based focus and sparkling reputation here in the National Capital Region, make them the perfect fit, both for us, and the families we serve.”
