National Foundation for Credit CounselingⓇ Names New Board Members
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 28, 2016 -- The National Foundation for Credit CounselingⓇ (NFCCⓇ) is pleased to announce its Board of Trustees has elected Deborah L. Bianucci, President and CEO of Bank Administration Institute (BAI), and Melvin T. Stith PhD, Dean Emeritus, Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University as its newest At-Large members.
“I am pleased to welcome Deborah Bianucci and Dr. Melvin Stith to the NFCC,” said the Honorable Nelson Diaz, chairman of the NFCC board of trustees. “They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help us remain true to our mission as we expand the scope of our services.”
As BAI's President and CEO, Deborah Bianucci is an influential leader dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to provide high-value, objective information and education to the financial services industry. Bianucci has over 30 years of experience related to financial services, and has held senior positions with several major financial services companies. With over 20 years at BAI, she is a frequent speaker at industry events and has authored numerous books and articles on financial services topics. Bianucci received an M.B.A and a B.A. in Journalism, both from Drake University.
Dr. Melvin Stith served as Dean of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University until June of 2013. Until his retirement in December 2014, he was a professor of marketing in the Whitman School of Management. From 1991 to 2004, he was dean and the Jim Moran Professor of Business Administration in the College of Business at The Florida State University and previously was associate professor and chair of the marketing department at FSU. He is also dean emeritus at Florida State University. From 1982 to 1985, he was a visiting professor in the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University. He served as associate dean and assistant professor in the College of Business at the University of South Florida from 1977 to 1982. Stith currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the following public corporations: Synovus Financial Corp., Aflac, and Flowers Food Corporation. He also serves as a director for AARP Services. He was also a member of the board of directors for the Pathways Commission. In Syracuse, he is a member of the Crouse Hospital board of directors. He is president of the Crouse Hospital Foundation and a member of the advisory board of Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families and the local professional theatre, Syracuse Stage. He is a founding member of the board of directors, Jim Moran Foundation.
