National Funding CEO, David Gilbert was a finalist in the 7th Annual Most Admired CEO program held in December 2013. It recognized San Diego’s most dynamic and innovative business leaders. Winners and finalists were selected based on guiding their company’s continued success through their vision, foresight and tenacity. Asaf Benhaim of iMatrix nominated Gilbert for the CEO award.
National Funding CFO, Bob Sweeney was a finalist in the 8th Annual CFO of the Year Awards program held in March 2014. The awards program recognized CFOs for the roles they play in the success of their businesses and their positive impact on the company. Winners and finalists are key professionals who exemplify hard work, dedication and ethics with the ability to inspire others to work together to find solutions to business challenges. Greg Sallee of CPA firm Gatto, Pope & Walwick LLP nominated Sweeney for the CFO award.
Under Gilbert’s leadership, National Funding was recognized as one of San Diego’s 2013 Fastest Growing Companies by the San Diego Business Journal, and made the Inc. 500|5000 2013 list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. The company has since gone from 65 to 105 employees. Previously Gilbert was named the 2007 USC Marshall School of Business Entrepreneur of the Year.
