National Gritting Company Reveal What They Do Over The Summer
Newbury, Berkshire (PRWEB UK) 1 May 2014 -- Truegrit have revealed that gritters are not quitters. The national gritting and snow clearance provider, who are celebrating ten years in business this year, have released details of what gritting companies get up to over the summer months. Many people may think that during the warm weather there is no obvious need for gritting roads and car parks, but at Truegrit the team remain just as busy as during those frantic winter months.
During the summer, Truegrit work hard to get contracts in place ready for the start of the cold weather. They have revealed that they spend the summer months contacting facility management, managing agents and property maintenance companies to see if their services can be beneficial over the winter. The team also contact existing customers to find out whether they will still have the same requirements as last year. They develop their systems to meet with the customer requirements offering live reporting, archived weather and analytical reports as and when the clients require it.
Another task over the summer is ensuring salt supplies are fully stocked ready for the winter and installing and maintaining new weather watch systems so the Truegrit team can be fast to react when the temperatures drop and the snow starts falling. They are hosting an annual meeting with their territory operators in May to ensure all their operating drivers are up to date with health and safety requirements and the ongoing sales campaigns.
The Newbury based gritting company are celebrating reaching their first decade this year and as Director, Dominic Robertson, said:
“This is a fast moving business and a lot has changed from when we first started. With tighter health and safety, compliance requirements, enhanced weather forecasting and better gritting implementation and reporting systems. There is always plenty to do out of the gritting season and on top of that a big sales campaign. We look forward to continual growth over the next ten years.”
Truegrit will also be attending the ExCel Facilities show in London from 17th – 19th June. Anyone interested in finding out more about Truegrit and the services they provide can visit them on stand Q1060 at the ExCel show or visit their website http://www.truegrit-gritting.co.uk.
