ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) November 16, 2016 -- Hire Heroes USA, which sits atop Charity Navigator’s ranking of the 147 largest nonprofits in Metro Atlanta for transparency and financial accountability, today announced it has surpassed its hiring goal for the year – passing more than 5,500 confirmed hires of veterans and military spouses – a result that has generated an estimated economic impact of nearly $70 million in the veteran employment space since January.
This is just the latest in what has been an impressive run of milestones for Hire Heroes USA this year. To date, team members have delivered more than 110,000 individual career counseling sessions, revised nearly 12,000 client resumes, and held more than 80 transition workshops worldwide. The organization is on track in 2016 to assist more than 15,000 transitioning military members, veterans and military spouses, a remarkable 90% growth in service delivery since 2015. The nonprofit has also achieved a 25% gain in year-over-year financial efficiency.
Hire Heroes USA is the preeminent nonprofit organization providing veteran employment services across the United States and around the world.
“When we originally set the goal of 5,500 confirmed hires for 2016, we believed we were really pushing the limit and it might not be obtainable. As it turns out, we hit it a month early,” said Brian Stann, President and CEO of Hire Heroes USA and a Marine Corps combat veteran. “I cannot be prouder of how we continue to innovate, improve and solve problems that result in veterans finding great careers. Earning a living and finding an opportunity to excel in the civilian workforce are vital to a veteran’s long-term happiness and crucial to the success of the American economy. Going forward - we will get even better.”
With the giving season approaching - including Georgia Gives, Colorado Gives and Giving Tuesday - Stann added, “The measurable impact of our nonprofit is the reason foundations, and corporate and individual donors continue to choose to invest in Hire Heroes USA.”
Hire Heroes USA traces its organizational roots back to 2005, when it was a program of the nonprofit Health Careers Foundation. A brainchild of MedAssets Founder, former President and CEO John Bardis, the goal was to address the plight of unemployed veterans with a personalized career coaching program. The initiative was such a success, the foundation ceased all other activities in 2007 to concentrate fully on the military hiring component. The name was changed to Hire Heroes USA in 2010.
“It is a source of immense pride to witness the phenomenal growth and accomplishments achieved by Hire Heroes USA, which continues to raise its own bar in effectiveness and transparency year after year,” says Bardis, Hire Heroes USA’s Chairman of the Board. “The lasting impact of this effort can be seen in the men and women who have achieved measurable success in their post-military careers with the help of Hire Heroes USA, which is quickly approaching more than 13,000 lifetime hires.”
