National Organization for Marriage Launches Ad Campaign in North Carolina Opposing Roy Cooper’s Bathroom Plan
Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 27, 2016 -- The National Organization for Marriage (NOM), in partnership with NC Values Coalition, has launched a powerful new advertisement opposing what the organization called Roy Cooper’s dangerous “bathroom policy” which would allow biological men to gain access to intimate facilities normally reserved for females, including bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms. Cooper has made his bathroom policy a key element of his campaign challenging Gov. Pat McCrory’s reelection.
“Roy Cooper’s bathroom policy is reckless and dangerous, risking the privacy and safety of girls, subjecting them to sex offenders and predators, in bathrooms and other intimate facilities where they are most vulnerable,” Brown said.
Brown cited an example by pointing out that one of the individuals who supported the campaign in Charlotte, NC to open female restrooms and showers to those identifying as "transgender" was Chad Sevearance-Turner, whom the Charlotte Observer reported stepped down following revelations that he was a registered sex offender.
"Voters in North Carolina need to know that Cooper is siding with convicted sex offenders against the safety and privacy of girls and women," Brown added. "We’re pouring every available dollar into this ad campaign because it is of such importance that voters know where Roy Cooper stands on this critical issue.”
