National Student Clearinghouse Improves Transcript Process for University of Kansas and 21 Kansas Colleges and Universities
Herndon, Va. (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- The National Student Clearinghouse, the nation’s largest provider of postsecondary transcript services, announced today that the University of Kansas has selected the Clearinghouse to process all requests for transcripts quickly and securely for more than 28,000 current students and 300,000 alumni.
The Clearinghouse’s Transcript Services allow Kansas to leverage the delivery of electronic transcripts more efficiently through electronic document exchange. The Clearinghouse’s solution also includes integration with KU’s PeopleSoft student information system to enable automated electronic transcript processing and delivery, virtually eliminating the need for manual intervention. Additionally, students benefit from KU — through its participation in the Clearinghouse’s Student Self-ServiceSM — by having one place to go for both enrollment certification and official transcript ordering providing a consolidated service portal.
“Working with the National Student Clearinghouse has given us a transcript platform that is more hands off and allows us to save hours a day in transcript preparation and printing,” said Brian D. McDow, senior associate director of enrollment management, University of Kansas. “No matter how the transcript is ordered, our students know that their transcript will be delivered as quickly as possible. KU looks forward to our continued, positive partnership with the Clearinghouse in providing top of the line tools to serve our students.”
The Clearinghouse’s Transcript Services provides:
• Immediate, secure electronic delivery worldwide, 24 hours a day/7 days a week;
• Dedicated customer support for Kansas’ administrators, students, and alumni; and
• Free online transcript ordering for delivery in minutes or pickup at the Registrar’s Office.
“We are excited to work with the registrar and others at the University of Kansas that asked us to find a more effective way to help them serve their students,” said Rick Torres, president and CEO of the National Student Clearinghouse. “Our Transcript Services address their needs in a reliable, cost-effective manner. Our work allows us to benefit students, campuses and others needing a student’s transcript through a secure and reliable approach. Besides the University of Kansas, the Clearinghouse currently provides $750 million a year of economic savings and benefits to more than 3,600 higher education institutions, which includes 21 colleges and universities in the state of Kansas. The participation of so many Kansas institutions in Clearinghouse services reflects our commitment to and ability to deliver high quality customer service to both our institutional clients and their students.”
