National TACA Autism Conference Offers Hope and Help to Families Affected by Autism
Costa Mesa, Calif (PRWEB) July 28, 2015 -- Autism is the fastest growing serious developmental disability in the United States with 1 in 68 children currently affected with the disorder. For these families, identifying and paying for the help they need to get their child on the road to recovery is extremely daunting. That’s where Talk About Curing Autism (TACA), a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families affected by autism, comes into action.
TACA not only aims to speed up the cycle time from autism diagnosis to effective treatments to recovery, it also supports the autism community financially and emotionally, and provides necessary information to make recovery possible. TACA’s National Autism Conference, which will be held at the Hilton in Costa Mesa, CA on October 23 and 24, 2015, was created to educate the autism community with the most up-to-date information about autism research, treatments and developments from experts in the field.
“Our goal is let families know that we are here for them in any way possible,” said Lisa Ackerman, founder of TACA. “So many people need to find reliable information but struggle to find it. Our conference is for those who want to educate themselves on autism, whether they be an expert themselves or know someone newly diagnosed.”
Autism is so prevalent today that if it is not in your direct family, almost every U.S. citizen can say they know someone with autism or a family who is affected by it.
The conference will feature three tracks of lectures over two full days from world-renowned doctors and researchers on the latest science-based therapies and treatments in autism. Friday night will provide a fun exhibitor mixer with prizes as well as TACA’s famous “Coffee Talk,” where numerous discussions will be held at multiple tables, each with its own topic. A Saturday morning “power hour” will provide attendees a warm and supportive atmosphere to start their day.
