Nationally Recognized Nurse Leader Linda Burnes Bolton to Present Keynote Address at CALNOC Conference
San Ramon, CA (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- CALNOC, the nation’s first nursing quality indicators database today announced Linda Burnes Bolton, DrPH, RN, FAAN, will keynote their upcoming conference – Navigating the Chaos of Healthcare Transformation - in Long Beach, CA on October 26, 2015.
Dr. Burnes Bolton is the current President of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the first African American to hold this position. As past president of the American Academy of Nursing and the National Black Nurses Association, she has provided leadership for several state and national programs including service as chair of the National Advisory Committee for Transforming Care at the Bedside, VA Commission on Nursing and vice chair of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Initiative on the Future of Nursing at the Institute of Medicine. She was named one of the top 25 women in health care in 2011 by Modern Healthcare Magazine and woman of the year in 2012 by Women in Health Administration. Dr. Burnes Bolton was appointed to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation board of directors in 2012. Dr. Burnes Bolton received her bachelor of science in nursing from Arizona State University, masters in nursing, masters in public health and doctorate in public health from UCLA.
