Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) September 25, 2017 -- Midland IRA, headquartered in Fort Myers and Chicago, donates $1,000 in efforts to support the citizens of Houston after the tragic effects of Hurricane Harvey.

The catastrophic event in Houston left hundreds of thousands of houses submerged in water and 30,000 people displaced from their homes. In addition, over 17,000 individuals were rescued from the storm by emergency and volunteer personnel.

In an effort to assist in the economic struggles citizens of Houston are facing, staff in Fort Myers and Chicago came together to give donations to organizations like the Salvation Army, Samaritan’s Purse, and the American Red Cross Association. In addition, President & CEO, Dave Owens, made a donation in the name of Midland IRA to American Red Cross Association for $1,000 dollars. When asked about what resulted from Hurricane Harvey, Dave Owens responded “We want to do all we can to help the people who were impacted by this heartbreaking event.”
