NCPDP’s PDMP Solution was developed by industry using NCPDP’s inclusive, multi-stakeholder, problem solving forum to examine and make recommendations on best practices for addressing deficiencies in prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) and creating a sustainable, interoperable, real-time model. The solution ensures access for patients with a valid medical need while averting potential fraud and abuse.
