Nearly 80 Employers Showed at Creative Images Institute of Cosmetology’s Wine & Cheese Event Ready to Hire Fresh, New Talent
Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- The event, which was held at the Shuster Center on September 9, included a hair show and career fair where employers were initially entertained by the students showcasing their talent in the hair show, followed by a host of interviews in the career fair. “Multiple students got career offers and dozens of interviews were conducted and set up,” said Roberts, who was thrilled by the effectiveness of the event.
The red carpet was literally rolled out as salon owners and managers as well as professional product company representatives, industry vendors and purveyors, and several other industry professionals enjoyed the elegant catering and open bar. “We had high level executives who travel extensively tell us that this was par none one of the best events of its kind and everyone was amazed at the record turnout,” commented Brian Clawson, the General Manager of Creative Images.
Events similar to this often get employer show rates of as low as 2 to as high as 30, but no one had ever attended an event that attracted nearly 80 employers. It could be said that Creative Images is doing something right and that Dayton is a place to grow and thrive.
Nicholas Schindler, the owner and President, originated the event back in 2008 and gives credit to his “wonderful team” for developing and growing it over the years. “It started off at our college campus, expanded to the Crowne Plaza, and now we’re at the Schuster,” Schindler said with a proud smile.
Creative Images intends to continue hosting this event each fall and growing the number of employers annually. It’s a great networking and hiring opportunity that brings current students and alumni together with professionals in the industry all with one goal in mind: to get new hires.
