Need to Verify the Highest Temperature Reached? New Convenient Solution from H-B - SP Scienceware
Wayne, NJ (PRWEB) December 17, 2015 -- Verifying the highest temperature attained has historically involved either dangerous mercury thermometers, electronic data loggers with inconvenient computer connections, or hiring a contracted service to perform the verification. The new H-B DURAC® Maximum Registering / Autoclave Bi-Metal Thermometer provides an instantaneous, cost-effective way to verify the hottest temperature reached.
“This unique thermometer has two pointers: the black pointer measures the temperature, while the red pointer is pushed to the maximum temperature by the black pointer and remains there until manually reset,” explains Staci Hiergesell, Product Manager for SP Scienceware.
“At any time, users can check to see the highest temperature reached, such as at the end of an autoclave cycle, just by looking at the red pointer. To reset, simply turn the knob on the thermometer to the left,” says Hiergesell. “Downloading measurements to a computer from an electronic data logger and working with dangerous mercury thermometers are no longer necessary.”
The Maximum Registering Thermometer features a range of -20/150°C (0/300°F), with an accuracy of ±2ºC (±5ºF), and will withstand moisture, pressure, high temperatures, and rust, thanks to the 304 stainless steel body and glass lens. An included protective silicone sleeve prevents moisture from contacting the dial and is easily removable when the pointer needs to be reset. A ¼” NPT threaded connection screws directly into in-line processes for simple installation and use.
Suggested list price for the H-B DURAC® Maximum Registering / Autoclave Bi-Metal Thermometer, catalog no. B61315-000, is $49.87. The thermometer is also available calibrated at 121°C and comes with an Individual Calibration Report, catalog no. B60215-0000, for $109.87.
