The annual Festival of Cars highlights the beautiful cars owned by members of the community and represents the pride they place in keeping these cars in top shape. From the classic 1923 Ford Model T to the modern 2011 Chevy Camaro and even a 1950s Chevy police car, many makes and models of cars from the early 1900s to today were on display for attendees to see. The festival took up an entire street in downtown Downers Grove, and local residents were invited to walk up and down aisles of cars from all eras.

To represent Neptune Society Downers Grove’s sponsorship, the Neptune Society logo was included on a trophy given out to one of the best cars in its class. The Festival of Cars was a part of the larger Rotary GroveFest, a weekend-long festival from June 23 through June 26 with live entertainment, a carnival, a Craft BeerFest, a handmade market, and a food and business expo. The event took up a vast area of downtown Downers Grove and provided families with the chance to interact with their neighbors and the local businesses that service them.
