Nestlé Purina Announces Corporate Sponsorship of the 7th Annual Fur Ball for Almost Home Animal Shelter in Fort Dodge, Iowa
Fort Dodge, IA (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Nestlé Purina is proud to be a corporate sponsor for the 7th Annual “Bets for Pets” Fur Ball for Almost Home Animal Shelter. This event is the major fundraiser each year for Almost Home along with being an excellent opportunity of community awareness for the animal shelter.
The event will be held at Fort Dodge Ford Toyota Showroom starting at 7 pm on April 25th. An evening for the entire family will include casino games, bingo, a live and silent auction, DJ, food, and beverages. Complimentary appetizers will be provided by SmokeWorx BBQ and the 4th Street Depot Bar and Grill. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple and are available at Fort Dodge Ford, East Lawn Animal Hospital, Northern Lights Distributing, Ft. Dodge Hy-Vee, and Family Pet Medical Center.
Almost Home Animal Shelter is located at 725 South 32nd Street and is a non-profit organization funded solely by donations. The Shelter is a limited intake facility that provides transitional care for abandoned companion animals until forever homes can be found for them. North Central Iowa is the service area for Almost Home. An important outreach provided by Almost Home is to promote humane education and spaying and neutering of pets.
Since Almost Home Animal Shelter receives no financial support from the state or city, it is so important to have corporate friends and sponsors like Nestlé Purina. Contributions to Almost Home are tax-deductible and go directly to support the care and nurturing of the animals in the shelter.
Last year Nestlé Purina employees in Fort Dodge also stepped up during Petcare Pride Day by focusing their efforts on renovating the three-acre plot that was donated for an Almost Home Dog Park. Funding for the project had only been able to cover the fencing for the area. Nestlé Purina employees took the challenge and painted trash cans, assembled dog kennels, laid a walk path through out the park, added additional fencing and prepared areas for equipment placement by leveling ground and removing scrap metal.
