NETA SPTS Courses Help Electrical Power Professionals Earn Continuing Education Credits In Time To Meet Year-End Requirements
Portage, MI (PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Every three years, each Level III and Level IV technician who is certified by NETA, the InterNational Electrical Testing Association, is required to have earned 48 continuing technical development credits (CTD credits) by December 31 in order to maintain his or her certification. This continuing education requirement helps assure that NETA Certified Technicians stay current with emerging technologies, new editions of industry standards, and best practices.
Taking NETA Self-Paced Technical Seminars (SPTS) is a convenient way for technicians to earn CTD credits. Students can access SPTS courses from any computer with internet connection at their convenience and at their own pace. SPTS courses include a CD-ROM with an audio/video presentation, a printed booklet, and one attempt at the course proficiency test.
NETA SPTS are not just for NETA Certified Technicians. Individuals holding other electrically-related certifications or credentials that require continuing education are often able to use these NETA training courses to satisfy those requirements by submitting them to those respective programs for consideration.
Following is a list of the twelve SPTS training courses available in the NETA Bookstore. Each offers the potential for electrical power industry professionals to earn four contact hours of training (four NETA CTD credits for NETA Certified Technicians).
