NetGain Technologies Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification
(PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- NetGain Technologies today announced that it successfully achieved its Service Organizational Controls (SOC) 2 Type II certification.
“This level of certification assures our clients that we have effective operational controls,” said Mark Jacobson, CEO. “We are able to instill confidence at the highest levels for our clients.”
A SOC 2 report is designed to certify the security, integrity, availability, confidentiality, and/or privacy (Trust Service Principles) as we work with clients’ data. Service organizations are held to a standardized set of controls criteria for each of the principles covered in their report. Completion of the SOC 2 Type II examination process indicates that NetGain Technologies’ processes, procedures and controls have been tested and approved by an independent accounting and auditing firm.
Contrary to Type I, a Type II report not only includes the service organization’s system description, but also a detailed testing of the design and operating effectiveness of their controls.
“Our SOC 2 Type II achievement separates us from many of our competitors who won’t invest in their processes and people; it’s too expensive! We are pleased to provide this next level of service for our clients,” said Jacobson.
