New AccuQuilt Gallery Exhibit Featuring Designs by Edyta Sitar
Omaha, NE (PRWEB) June 22, 2015 -- AccuQuilt has a new exhibit, A Few of My Favorite Things, featuring nine quilts from designer Edyta Sitar who combines piecing with appliqué to create an extraordinary display of traditional and modern quilts. Sitar, who has won many awards for her impressive designs, largely incorporates fabric from her stash of scraps into her quilts. The exhibit will run through July 31.
From dancing umbrellas to the silhouettes of nature to exuberant stars, this exhibit has it all. And many of her designs include the GO! Simple Shapes die, which adds an extra flair by using a simple, yet dramatic effect.
"It is our pleasure to have designer Edyta Sitar's outstanding quilts in our gallery, as she is an inspiration to so many quilters," said AccuQuilt CEO Steve Nabity.
Sitar was introduced to quilting many years ago by her mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law and has been carrying on the quilting tradition in her family ever since. She is the founder and owner of Laundry Basket Quilts where she shares her love of fabric and provides inspiration with her creative and innovative quilting patterns. Not only does Sitar design fabrics for Moda, but she has also published five books and been featured in countless magazines nationwide. Additionally, Sitar travels all over the world sharing her inspiring stories and connecting with other quilters.
You can view the exhibit at the AccuQuilt Gallery Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. by appointment or you can also see it online at accuquilt.com. GO! dies by Edyta Sitar are also available at retail stores and on AccuQuilt's website in addition to hundreds of other GO! products.
