New and Improved NJCAA TV Set to Deliver Live Coverage of Select Fall Championships
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), through its multimedia rights entity NJCAA Sports Properties, is proud to announce its upcoming broadcast schedule of select fall championship events on its digital video network NJCAA TV (http://www.njcaatv.com) as well as further enhancements stemming from its recent partnership with Volar Video.
Launched in the fall of 2009, NJCAA TV is the home for live video coverage of NJCAA Championships. After spending the previous two years on the iHigh.com system, NJCAA TV was upgraded in August 2013 to Volar Video’s new proprietary software and robust streaming platform.
The upgrade to the Volar Video system results in a better viewing experience for fans wanting to watch the best student-athletes in the NJCAA compete for the glory and prestige of a national championship. Enhancements that will be noticeable to viewers include improved video quality due to upgraded streaming software, multi-camera switching, custom graphic packages and multi-platform delivery to provide fans the option to watch broadcasts on desktops, tablets, mobile devices and smart TV’s.

Live broadcasts of select fall national championships on NJCAA TV will take place throughout the month November. The Division III Women’s Soccer Championship from the campus of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, N.Y., kicks off the fall championship broadcast schedule on November 7th.

Broadcasts from each championship event is made possible through the cooperation and support of each tournament host and their volunteer staff. The NJCAA and NJCAA Sports Properties thanks all parties involved at these championship events for their efforts in assisting NJCAA TV showcase the organization to a worldwide audience.
Since its debut in August of 2009, NJCAA TV has experienced significant audience growth. The network spent the previous two years on the iHigh.com platform, providing the organization the ability to live broadcast select national championship events while also enabling member colleges to broadcast their regular season contests. For the 2012-13 season, NJCAA TV featured over 4,700 live broadcasts of national championship and regular season contests – a 40 percent (40%) increase from 2011-12. Even more impressive, NJCAA TV drew nearly 2 million visits (up 125%) from over 1.3 million unique visitors (up 265%) last year.
