New App and Website Development Fuels Continued Growth for MooseLabs
Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Moose Labs isn’t advertising or doing much in the way of marketing. But the Kansas City software development company has still become one of the fastest growing in the Midwest, thanks to word-of-mouth referrals from existing clients and networking within the Silicon Prairie entrepreneurial technology community.
In the past month, Moose Labs completed a from-the-ground-up project for Smart Steps, which provides a visual decision tree and support system that empowers people with autism, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities and early onset dementia to live fuller, safer, more independent lives.
Moose Labs’ software architects built a mobile application for iPhone that is now available in Apple’s App Store, a marketing website and a web portal that Smart Steps users can access anywhere and includes decision trees, a user activity dashboard and an HIPAA-compliant user profile.
“We’re proud to partner with Smart Steps to help people with disabilities overcome daily challenges, make better decisions and get the support they need,” said Moose Labs CTO Jarrod Eyler. “Although it was a complex project, we delivered an intuitive interface that is easy for individuals and caregivers to use.”
Moose Labs also designed and deployed a mobile app for the Kansas Wildscape Foundation which lets kids and their parents complete and store nature observations such as “I saw a snake” or “We heard these kinds of birds today” on their iPhone or Android-based smartphone. The app challenges its users with adventures such as nature hikes and fishing trips and then gives them an easy way to post pictures and comments about their experience.
In addition to focusing on its application, web, portal and software development projects, Moose Labs also announced that they will sponsor Big Kansas City 2014, to be held October 8-10 at Hangar 9. Presented by Silicon Prairie News, Big Kansas City 2014 will bring together founders, developers investors and more from across the country for the biggest Midwest showcase of the year. The event, which Forbes calls “One of the top conferences to attend for entrepreneurs” will feature presentations from Warby Parker’s Neil Blumenthal, Hudl’s John Wirtz and Zady co-founders Maxine Bedat and Soraya Darabi.
“Big Kansas City 2013 was a fantastic event and we’re sure this year’s conference is going to be even better,” said Moose Labs co-founder Grant Gordon. “We’re proud to get involved in helping promote technology entrepreneurism within the Silicon Prairie tech community, which is driving our business forward.”
