New App Helps Drivers Navigate Auto Accidents
St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- The S.E. Farris Law Firm recently launched a mobile app designed to help drivers in the hectic moments after a road related injury. "Appcident App" provides basic steps to follow, fact and evidence gathering tools, and forms to collect important information following a vehicle collision. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, can be downloaded for free at http://bit.ly/farrisapp.
“After a crash, there are things you must do right away to protect your rights,” said Spencer Farris, managing partner of The S.E. Farris Law Firm. “Whether it’s your first accident or you’re too shaken up to know what to do, it is easy to overlook some basic but very important steps at the scene of the crash.”
The app is designed to clarify and simplify post-accident procedures by guiding users through a series of steps and prompts, from contacting emergency services and documenting the crash to locating the nearest tow truck company and hospital.
“The longer you wait after an accident, the harder it is to collect evidence,” said Farris.
Appcident App helps solve this problem by using a mobile device’s built-in features to document the crash and create an accident report. It can access the camera to photograph vehicle damage and record witness statements, it uses GPS to pinpoint the location and time of the crash, and it comes preloaded with timesaving forms to easily collect contact, vehicle, and insurance information from other parties.
“We don’t hesitate to use our phones to call for help, but it’s easy to forget in the heat of the moment that you also have other powerful tools right in your pocket,” said Farris.
The app’s features aren’t limited to the scene of the crash. If a driver or passenger is injured, the app can track medical expenses, calculate lost wages, and chronicle how injuries affect day-to-day life—information, according to Farris, that can be useful if it becomes necessary to pursue a personal injury lawsuit.
“This app is one of those things you don’t think you’ll ever need, until you do,” said Farris. “We hope you never have to use it, but if you are in an accident, we think you’ll be glad you took a few seconds to download it.”
Appcident App by Spencer Farris is available for free download at http://bit.ly/farrisapp, and on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For more information on Spencer Farris and The S.E.
