New App Helps People Keep Their Loved Ones Close

Rather than continue to struggle in silence, Nana Fatimah decided to take control of her own destiny and set up an app development company, while juggling the challenges of raising two young children. She got a place on a pilot business course with HBV Enterprises in Hackney, who provided her with the know how to make the most of her entrepreneurial spirit, and working with a team of developers has now built an app that will help thousands of others who feel isolated and lonely to stay connected to the people they care about.
The first app from TECHSIS, Kinship is a free social awareness and safety app designed to help users keep track of the people they care about. Users can set up circles for groups – whether that is immediate family, distant relatives or friends – so they can instantly check their loved ones are okay, without needing to keep taking the time out to call, text or email.
Using GPS technology, Kinship users are able to quickly share where they are in the world, who they are with and a simple message, but crucially, the app features stringent privacy settings so users have the ability to control exactly who will see each post.
