New Assisted Living and Memory Care Community to Open in Manito
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) October 27, 2016 -- The Lodge at Manito, an assisted living and memory care community currently under construction, will open in the spring.
The community, which will be located on eight acres of land at 1301 South East Avenue in Manito, will serve adults 62 and older who need some help to maintain their independence. The Lodge also features a specially designed memory care neighborhood for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.
The 39,000 square-foot building will include 24 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care suites. Each of the private apartments at The Lodge will feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning units, and an emergency alert system.
In addition, The Lodge will have a large community room, a private dining room, an outdoor recreation area, library, hair salon and other amenities.
An on-site medical clinic is the most unique feature of the community. This clinic will be managed by Mason District Hospital and available to residents at The Lodge.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, will be on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The community will be managed by Gardant Management Solutions. It will further expand Gardant’s mission of providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve in addition to the help with medications and personal assistance they need, says Rod Burkett, CEO of Gardant.
Joseph Architectural Group, PC designed the community, and construction will be completed by Trotter General Contracting, Inc. Atlas Professional Consulting developed the $5.5 million project.
The Mason County Health Department and the Prairieland Council share ownership of the project, which is the first of its kind in the state. No other health department in Illinois owns an assisted living property.
When fully occupied, the community will provide 60 full-time and part-time jobs. Annual payroll with benefits is projected to be $1.8 million.
