The author recounts how hard life was for him in the early days of his youth wherein his family was forced to relocate to multiple locations. And in order to help the family he took in jobs as a bike repairman and newspaper delivery boy. The author also reminesces of his days in the navy and how through hard work and determination he was able to earn a college degree and eventually gain a paying job that enabled him to provide a comfortable life for his family. This book also shows the authors lifelong fascination with mechanical technology and how through the years this interest has influenced his life.
