New Book, ‘Ayurvedic Herbs,’ Offers Complementary Resource for Natural Healing
BELLEVUE, WA (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- In his new book, “Ayurvedic Herbs: The Comprehensive Resource for Ayurvedic Healing Solutions,” Dr. Virender Sodhi illustrates how food is medicine, as practiced in the Ayurvedic tradition.
“It’s the oldest form of medicine in human history,” says Dr. Sodhi, founder of the Ayurvedic and Naturopathic Medical Clinic.
“I think much of the modern world has missed out on the ancient tradition, including the mindset that food is medicine. As a result, we’ve witnessed the scourge of many chronic diseases, including cancer, diabetes, Crohn's disease, hypertension and heart disease. Thankfully, we have a reliable answer in Mother Nature.”
In his new book Dr. Virender Sodhi has combined the traditional knowledge of Ayurvedic medicine with the latest scientific research. Ayurveda literal translation into English means, “the science of life.”
“The possibility of living in a disease-free society is a real one, and the research shows that we can do this by following the laws of Mother Nature,” he says. “Food is medicine, but this is not the doctrine we’ve been given. If we want to fix our health problems, many of us have been taught that powerful drugs are the only path.”
In fact, its pharmaceuticals that are often the primary culprit for the imbalances in our bodies, and that’s what is driving the chronic disease to skyrocketing numbers, he says. Along with a healthy lifestyle, Ayurvedic herbs can help clean blood vessels of the heart and put cancer into remission, he says.
“For decades, I’ve witnessed first-hand the amazing recovery made by patients who’ve embraced these herbs as a natural solution,” Dr. Sodhi says. “Meanwhile, I’ve also witnessed chronic disease flourish in modern societies, which I think is ready for the natural approach to health and well-being.”
