New Book by Carol Demma Mau Teaches Conservation
Aurora, Colo. (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- In her new children’s book, “Wisdom From The Pearl Necklace” (published by Balboa Press), author and teacher Carol Demma Mau sends children on a spiritual adventure to the inner world of Earth where they learn about the environment and the importance of asking questions.
“During meditation, I received a strong feeling that I needed to write a book which was interesting to children and at the same time would pose situations that they could ask their parents about, so they would have an understanding of their own family values, beliefs and ethics,” says Mau.
“Wisdom From The Pearl Necklace” centers around seven inquisitive children living in the fictitious town of Hazelton, Ill. When the children witness an unexpected sighting, they are propelled on a journey to the inner world of Earth, where they meet fairies, elves and Mother Nature herself.
The children are unsure of Mother Nature’s request for help, which prompts them to ask questions about the environment. Mau aims to inspire children to ask these important questions of their parents, inspiring future discussions and actions.
Of her readers, Mau writes, “I want them to be excited enough to question what they believe in and to question what is happening around them in hopes they will act on these beliefs. I believe that it is in small radical groups that we being to change the world.”
