New Book ‘Chubby Wubbles’ Shows Importance of Caring
West Bloomfield, Mich. (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Author M.J. Abrams was inspired to write his new children’s picture book, “Chubby Wubbles” (published by Trafford Publishing), after taking care of his son’s pet ferret.
“Chubby Wubbles” is the story of a young man named Jeffrey and his mischievous ferret named Chubby. As the story unfolds, the pair’s loneliness leads to their fateful meeting and a growing friendship.
“This book is about the importance of caring, friendship and trust of a pet,” Abrams says. “Life is all about striving to live your dream, but in reality there are challenges along the way. Sometimes it’s better to leave well enough alone than to venture out of your comfort zone. It may not be easy to find your way back without help.”
Abrams says this story shows others the effects of lifestyle changes required to take care of a pet – including finding the emotional and financial means to support a pet in the long run.
“While there are many things in today’s society including self-indulgence, technology and sometimes troubling news, this story is refreshing because it gets back to simple, compelling, non-controversial relationships and storytelling,” Abrams says.

About the Author
After being a pet observer and non-pet owner, M.J. Abrams felt guilty at the idea of giving away his son’s pet ferret to anyone else. Since becoming attached to the pet ferret, Abrams agreed to take care of it while his son was away. Because of his many experiences with the animal, Abrams decided to write “Chubby Wubbles”, his first children’s book, based on the adventures and trials he shared with the ferret.
