New Book Discusses the Importance of Teaching Teenagers Self-defense
Alexandria, Virginia (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Retired Lieutenant Colonel Garry Klaus, of The United States Marine Corps, believes teenagers need to take control of their wellbeing and safety.
In his new book, “TEEN SELF-DEFENSE American Marine Goju”, Klaus offers lessons to teach teenagers about their self-protection and controlling their lives.
The skills and knowledge available in the book can aid teens to stop the “bad guys” and take back the safety and control of their daily lives. It contains common sense guidelines like being aware of surroundings, respecting other people and “reading” situations.
It focuses on teaching students the three A’s: alertness, avoidance and awareness. The book displays these concepts through images and examples shown by teenage black belts.
“I have confidence in today’s youth,” Klaus says. “If teens are not afraid to fail and continue to strive to improve themselves, I believe they will do so while bettering their self-defense skills.”
