New Book Highlights Connection Between High Expectations and Chronic Anger
RALEIGH, N.C. (PRWEB) April 17, 2017 -- Mark Stricklin grew up in a house where expressing anger was strictly prohibited. Years of repressed emotions inspired Stricklin to study common emotion. He shares his insights in his new book “Anger Management: A Simple Guide to Managing Life’s Expectations.”
In “Anger Management,” Stricklin explores what makes us angry, how to deal with anger and how to confront people who display anger. Stricklin asserts that rage and fury are natural emotions and is best processed with better understanding rather than suppression.
“Anger is not a negative emotion that needs to be eliminated from your personality,” Stricklin said. “With Anger Management, I want to direct the conversation away from silencing feelings of irritation, and instead, focus on the root causes of those emotions.”
Today, Stricklin volunteers and works with former prison inmates. Thanks to the profession, Stricklin was able to find a link between unreachable expectancies and feelings of annoyance. He offers strategies for managing expectations that lead to better control of unchecked anger.
“Anger Management” provides a practical guide to coping with anger and sensible means of expressing this universal feeling. For more information on the book and the author, please visit http://www.angerexpection.com/.
