New book ‘Let There Be Light’ blends science, fiction
LOGAN, Iowa (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- Author Mark Leonard was introduced to Ken Henderson and his cassette tape series called “Taming Dinosaurs” at a church revival in 1979. This event inspired Leonard to research science to understand how science and scripture can work together. His new novel, “Let There Be Light” (published by WestBow Press), shows how the Ice Age and dinosaurs play into the Bible.
In a fictional setting, Bill Abrams, an atheist scientist, harnesses the ultra-violet rays of the sun to travel through time. He learns the fate of the dinosaurs, how the Ice Age occurred, the reason why people lived longer before the biblical flood and where the waters of the flood came from. His journey leads him to discover the truth about the world – and the truth about God.
“I am trying to reach teens who would not take the time to read a scientific document,” Leonard says. “This entertaining story is packed full of scientific tidbits that could change their outlook of Genesis.”
Leonard hopes readers will learn that Genesis is a factual account of the early days of the Earth and mankind. Though written for young adults, “Let There Be Light” contains elements the author says will appeal to readers of all ages: adventure, engaging characters and scientific fact blended with fiction.
