New book relates sharecropper family’s tale of love, faith, struggle
AUGUSTA, Ga. (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- “Sharing and giving love is one of the most powerful gifts that God gave us,” said Myrtise Youmans. “Because of my deep concern and love for young people and the elderly, God gave me a revelation that I should pass it on, because there is enough to go around the world.”
In “Pass It On! There’s Enough to Go Around the World!” (published by Xlibris), she shares her personal take on life and especially love—feeling it, sharing it, and giving it to show that there really is enough to go around the world. Based on Youmans’ personal experiences, it relates the life of a sharecropper’s family in the early 1900s, having to work on the farm rain or shine only having little time for schooling. It tells of the challenges they faced as they coped with the everyday problems of raising 13 children. Throughout their struggles, Youmans and her family held to their faith in God and the belief of better days to come.
“This book deals with everyday problems and situations that many families of today face,” said Youmans. “It gives some aspects as to how one can cope with the diverse personalities that exist among families and in society.”
In light of the struggles revealed in this book’s pages, Youmans hopes that her story will inspire her readers, especially the young, to work hard, get an education, get a job, be a productive citizen, keep God in their lives and, most of all, to be patient and kind.
