New book shows ‘How to Play Golf in a Single Plane’
MACCLENNY, Fla. (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- “How to Play Golf in a Single Plane or, The Original Swing in Golf - Learn it, Play it and Score with it!” (published by AuthorHouse) was not written to recount the life and legend of Mr. Moe Norman, but rather the contributions he made towards the single plane swing and the game of golf. It relays what the author Billy J. Gaines Sr. has learned over the 13 plus years he spent teaching this method as a golf instructor with Natural Golf.
His technique takes a natural movement used for chopping wood or nailing nails and perfects it into the single plane golf swing known today. That is why this movement has been referred to as, “The Hammer Affect.” The genius of the man was not to completely invent a new golf swing, but rather to revert back to a movement that humans have been using since the dawn of time. He did not alter this natural motion but adjusted his setup to fit it and by doing so he defined the meaning of - “Square Tracking” - hitting the golf ball straight.
The second most dramatic change the single plane swing gives the golfer is that the swinging motion is initiated by a shoulders down, upper body movement rather than the feet up movement as in the covenantal swing. Because of this setup and upper body swinging movement there is less stress in the lower back, "less back pain."
According to Gaines, this technique allows for highly repeatable and consistent swings. By imparting this technique to his readers, he hopes to enhance their golf game and their swing. He also emphatically advises them to, “practice with a purpose, practice with a goal but most of all - practice one thing at a time!”
