New British Online Marketplace OnBuy to Outshine Competitors in Crafts and Handmade
Basingstoke, Hampshire (PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013 -- New Marketplace OnBuy, operated by OnCommerce Ltd, has incorporated products into individual ‘Outlets’, one of which is ‘Crafts & Handmade’, making OnBuy a great place for Craft sellers.
They have made headway in preparing a huge Crafts and Handmade Outlet that specifically caters to non-barcoded products, unlike their rival Amazon. On Amazon, sellers must list barcoded products only, which leaves no room for handmade 'one off' items, or crafts of a smaller seller who cannot front the cost of barcoding.
OnBuy is targeting a wider market for consumers, unlike than that of smaller craft-specific marketplaces, hoping to generate more interest to a wider audience of consumers who are interested in or wish to discover handmade products.
OnBuy seeks to supply, to craft businesses, a great place to collate and sell their handmade products.
The OnBuy Outlet ‘Crafts and Handmade’ also has an area for art and craft supplies.
The website will go live to customers on November 1st 2013 – but vendors are invited to sign up now so their products can be available at launch.
OnBuy are advertising no monthly fees for vendors who sign up now until the website goes live to customers in November.
Last Friday (26th July 2013), OnBuy launched to sellers, who can now use the http://www.onbuy.co.uk website to register an interest, and start setting up their products.
OnBuy Managing Director Cas Paton said: “Handmade jewellery and textiles are in demand more than ever. The shabby-chic, country and bunting trends are at in incredible height at the moment.”
“More and more British people are starting their own businesses, usually starting from home, and building from hobbies or interests. We just know the craft and handmade OnBuy Outlet will be a huge hit”
