New Case IH Ecolo-Tiger 875 for Heavy Residue, Level Output

(PRWEB) August 27, 2013 -- The next generation of aggressive disk rippers on the market – the Case IH Ecolo-Tiger® 875 – now offers even more durability, enhanced agronomics and more ease of use. All-new high-density Tiger points, standard Earth Metal blades and a hydraulically controlled double-edged reel help the new disk ripper handle the heaviest residue, the toughest soils and the widest range of field and weather conditions.

Added Durability Built In
Redesigned high-density Tiger points run just under hardpan compaction and deliver the proven Case IH lift-twist-roll soil action to eliminate soil compaction, but with less draft, creating smoother fields and extending point life.
“With the benefit of extensive field testing and computer simulations, our new Tiger point design delivers up to 350 percent more durability than previous designs,” says Zemenchik.
In addition, Case IH continues to offer Earth Metal blades on Ecolo Tiger 875 machines. These blades are simultaneously formed and quenched for exceptional endurance. Compared to conventional blades under identical conditions, Earth Metal blades are 30 percent stronger and last up to 20 percent longer.
“Earth Metal blades are able to cut right through the toughest of residue,” says Zemenchik. “Unlike conventional blades that lose their sharpness with wear, Earth Metal blades improve with use.”
An aquant powder coat paint finish provides 400 percent more resistance to impact, scratching and paint fading compared to prior models. The multistage auto deposition primer dip paint system with a powder topcoat is the result of an $81 million expansion at the Case IH Goodfield, Ill., plant, and is the largest such system in North America. Customers benefit from an even more rugged red paint finish that looks better rolling off the factory line, lasts throughout the life of the disk ripper and improves resale value.
The 875 also features newly designed endless gussets, single-point depth control and deluxe wheel bearings. Gang disk blades feature an all-new scraper to shield against foreign matter accumulation in the C hanger.
Float When You Need To
Case IH patented a double-edge reel to size any remaining large clods and level the soil to eliminate lost yield potential. In the new Ecolo-Tiger 875, the double-edge reel becomes hydraulic, allowing producers to adjust reel down pressure from the cab when needed.
“This best-in-class option allows operators to float over wet spots by releasing down pressure,” says Zemenchik. “The result is level output over varying soil types, and it won’t plug in wet conditions.”
Producers can also choose a coil tine harrow rear finishing system, depending on local conditions and agronomic need.
