Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) June 16, 2014 -- Ohio coffee roaster Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea has joined forces with Charlie Foxtrot Group to launch Charlie Foxtrot Coffee, a patriotic coffee brand honoring the service of U.S. military service personnel, veterans and their families. A portion of sales will benefit the Disabled American Veterans, Capital City Chapter #3.
Crimson Cup partnered with Charlie Foxtrot co-founders and disabled military veterans Alvin E. Burzynski and Rick Isbell to create America’s official brand of patriotic coffee. The coffee blends are: Victory Blend (House), Warrior’s Blend (Dark Roast) and Honor Blend (Decaf).
“We consider it an honor to roast coffee for those who have answered America’s call to duty,” said Crimson Cup Founder and President Greg Ubert. “With each purchase of Charlie Foxtrot Coffee, you make a patriotic difference in the lives of America’s warriors and their families.”
Burzynski, who served with the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division (light infantry) and as a public affairs officer with the Army and Department of Veterans Affairs, said he and Isbell approached Crimson Cup to develop a coffee specifically for military service men and women, veterans and their families.
“We wanted to find an innovative way to continue to serve, support, honor, and thank America’s defenders of freedom, their families and those patriotic Americans who support them,” he said.
Isbell served with the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War and Operation Desert Storm. “Nothing brings more people together than a good cup of coffee,” he said. “So if we can get the conversation started where people can hear our service members’ and veterans’ stories and plight, we can truly bring everyone together one cup at a time.”
Every coffee is roasted and packaged at the Crimson Cup roasting facility in Columbus, Ohio, keeping local contribution a focus. “Charlie Foxtrot coffee is made from premium-grade coffee beans that are carefully hand-roasted and packaged at the peak of freshness,” Ubert said. “Our armed forces members, veterans, and their families deserve nothing but the best!”
At launch, Charlie Foxtrot Coffee is available online on the Crimson Cup website and at http://www.charliefoxtrotcoffee.com. It also will be sold throughout the summer through Veterans support groups and events. Each 12-ounce bag retails for $10. The Disabled American Veterans, Capital City Chapter #3 will receive $1.00 from each bag sold.
Giving back to U.S. troops and veterans is an ongoing effort for Crimson Cup, which donates coffee to soldiers serving overseas. “The Charlie Foxtrot coffee program offers one more way we can express our support and gratitude to those who protect our freedom,” Ubert said.
