New children’s book exemplifies friendship through tale of two dogs
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (PRWEB) January 31, 2015 -- Princess, a cocker spaniel, loves Mr. Allan and Ms. Kathy, her owners. They take great care of her, supply her with toys and love her unconditionally. Even so, Princess is still lonely. But this is all about to change with the addition of a new member to the family.
Kathleen Showalter tells the story of Princess and her friends in the new children’s book, “Adventures of Princess, Buddy, and Zoie” (published by Trafford Publishing).
Princess is thrilled when she gets a new playmate, Buddy. While Buddy’s only a puppy, the two immediately click, getting into trouble and playing non-stop. From bathing in the water dish to eating bumblebees, Buddy and Princess manage to find entertainment all around them.
Throughout “Adventures of Princess, Buddy, and Zoie,” Princess and Buddy form an everlasting friendship. Buddy also goes on many adventures with another owner, Zoie, a young girl based off of Showalter’s granddaughter.
An excerpt from “Adventures of Princess, Buddy, and Zoie”:
“But where they really got into trouble was when they decided that those things that fl y, those yellow and black buzzing things, would be nice to chase and catch. After all, they did seem to be much slower than the birds and butterflies and flew closer to the ground, which would make them easier to catch.”
