New Children’s Book’s Real Life Pictures and Tests Help Facilitate Learning
Fresno, CA (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- Cloteal Mae Jones, a dedicated advocate for children’s welfare, wanted to teach children using books that have real life pictures in it instead of simply cartoons. Hence, she publishes her own children’s book using this technique to entertain and educate children. “The Five Little Ducks Went to the Forest” is a delightful tale that teaches children to think, learn and expand their natural gift for imagination.
In her own imaginative way, Jones publishes a tool to help children learn how to count. She also helps them discover the differences between a sheep’s bleat and a cow’s moo, the differences between big and small animal, as well as the different colors of each animals. Through these real life illustrations, she hopes to stimulate children’s interest and facilitate their comprehension of what they see and read.
Jones then employs tests where children are challenged to figure out the right answers to gauge their comprehension and retention. She also hopes that children learn the tricks in the tests. Finally, through her story and the exercises, she hopes that children will not only improve their reading skills, but more importantly learn the value of listening and following what parents have to say to benefit from their wisdom and guidance.
In “The Five Little Ducks Went to the Forest,” Jones presents real pictures of different animals, so children can have fun seeing in the book what they see every day in their surroundings with their family. With this book at hand, parents and educators, relatives and guardians alike, can all partake in shaping children’s minds with interesting ideas and valuable life lessons.
This book will be featured at the 2014 American Library Association-Midwinter Book Exhibit in Philadelphia, PA, on January 24 - 27, 2014.
