New Children’s Book Uses Turkeys to Teach Life Lessons
Alta Loma, Calif. (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- Author Judy Walker presents children and parents with a motivational story about love, kindness, and respect and how to handle dilemmas – at school and at play – in the imaginative new story, “Turkey Trouble” (published by WestBow Press).
In an imaginary kingdom known as Yummy-Yummy Land, the King visits his Royal Turkey Ranch to choose the best turkeys for his Royal Feast. What he finds are tough, terrible turkeys, so he hires turkey trainers – a tender turkey named Tillie and a gentle and wise donkey named Pokey – to make turkeys tender. Pokey and Tillie transform the turkeys by teaching them how to be friends and love each other. When the King comes back to inspect the turkeys, a surprise ending proves that being kind and loving brings unexpected rewards.
“The recipe for tender turkeys is love makes turkeys tender and tender turkeys are best,” Walker says. “The story motivates children to look their best, do their best and be their best. It teaches that everyone needs love and kindness in their lives.”
“Turkey Trouble” is filled with fun, imaginary characters who experience the kind of real problems that children face. The positive message and included teaching points will allow this book to be used by parents and teachers alike – or anyone who desires that young people become the best they can be.
