New Courses for School Based Therapy Professionals Now Available Online from Education Resources Inc.
Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- Course sessions provide physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapist assistants, speech language pathologists, special educators, administrators, and teachers with practical, innovative strategies and tools to help school children and their support systems collaborate to overcome the most pressing challenges. Topics include the neurodevelopmental classroom, visual and motor strategies to promote learning and participation, addressing gross motor needs and priorities, prioritizing and writing measurable and obtainable goals, practical tools to address sensory versus behavioral issues, the top down model of assessment, self-regulation skills, and working with the anxious child.
Sessions are taught by a dynamic and renowned faculty featuring Jan Hollenbeck OTD, OTR/L, Peg Dawson Ed.D, and Debra Dickson, Pediatric PT. Each new offering was filmed at the Fifteenth Annual Therapies in the School live conference in Framingham, Massachusetts where faculty members shared diverse perspectives from their clinical practice, and provided practical strategies, tools, and evidence based practice models to over 300 school based therapists in attendance.
Mary Boyle, occupational therapist, shared, "This was a wonderful opportunity to learn and be with other disciplines. Many of the sessions were difficult to choose between - there were so many relevant ones. This is my first year attending and I will definitely return. I enjoyed the scope and took away so much. It helps energize me!"
Amanda Castro, a physical therapist who took the 14th Annual Therapies in the School Conference online, wrote, "What can I say, I am already halfway through my online version of Therapies in the School and I have already learned so much about current topics that I was interested in! Education Resources, Inc. is always my preference for continuing education opportunities and I am thrilled to have access to an online version of one of your amazing courses. I would love to see more and more online versions of the courses you offer. Thanks so much!"
Colleagues working with school aged children can now choose from six new individual sessions, or purchase the complete package for 17.5 hours of on demand learning.
