New Dwyer Group® Brand Window Genie to Open Location in Waco
Waco, TX (PRWEB) April 25, 2017 -- Window Genie announces the grand opening of its newest location in Waco Texas on May 8th. Local Waco resident Corey Witt will be the owner/operator. Window Genie was acquired by Waco-based Dwyer Group® in late 2016, making it the franchise giant’s newest home service and maintenance brand. Window Genie is a national home service franchise specializing in residential and light commercial window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more. Window Genie of Waco will service the communities west of Waco from Valley Mills, to China Spring down through Hewitt and Lorena.
Before purchasing his Window Genie franchise, Witt spent 10 years as an independent distributor for a major local bread company. “My days started at 3 a.m. and occasionally I wouldn’t be home until after 6 p.m.,” Witt explained of his unorthodox and sometimes demanding schedule. “It’s unfair to my family to continue with this lifestyle,” he said. “We have an 18-month-old and two older kids into sports. I’m only able to help my wife get the kids to school and daycare on Thursdays, and I’ve been missing ball games at night. Being my own boss is something I love, so I’m not done being a business owner, but I needed to find a better way.”
Witt was familiar with the home service franchise industry through his mother who works for Dwyer Group®, the holding company of 15 franchise businesses including Window Genie, Molly Maid, Glass Doctor, Mr. Handyman, Mr. Rooter and more. Witt is excited to experience business ownership in a new capacity. “Window Genie’s services are typically scheduled during the week, between 8 a.m and 5 p.m. That alone will change my life drastically. Of course, there will be plenty of work to do behind the scenes in the office, and I’ll still be looking at 50-60-hour work weeks, but having the ability to work from home and see my family regularly will be the most rewarding part of it all.”
