Novi, MI (PRWEB) September 21, 2015 -- MasteryTCN™ is announcing the release of a new selection of e-learning courses featuring videos produced by the Chemical Safety Board. These courses help provide employees with an awareness for the importance of following safety procedures and reporting unsafe work practices or working conditions.
MasteryTCN™ has taken the public domain video content from the Chemical Safety Board and published it on their common courseware platform. As the publisher, Mastery is able to enhance the videos with added instructional design to maximize the effectiveness of the powerful messages presented. The common courseware platform makes the courses accessible on all devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers) and browsers.
The first five titles released include:
- Behind the Curve
- Half an Hour to Tragedy: Propane Explosion in Ghent
- Fatal Exposure: Tragedy at DuPont
- Deadly Contract: Explosion During Disposal of Fireworks
- Blast Wave in Danvers: Solvent-Vapor Explodes at Boston-Area Ink Plant
The video-based narratives, found in these courses, demonstrate and tell the stories of real accidents. A thorough analysis of the incident is presented, including a description of the causes and effects of the event. The details of what improvements the different facilities made after the incidents is explained. Finally, recommendations are provided on how employees can apply what they’ve learned to their own workplaces. Emphasis is put on gaining and understanding an awareness of the importance of hazard analysis and following safety practices at work.
Many of these courses include downloadable resources, such as the official reports from the Chemical Safety Board on the incident described in the course. Courses also typically end with a learning assessment to test the learner’s understanding. These interactive assessments help to build a learner’s appreciation for safety practices.
All of these courses are available through any of the Talent Management System or Learning Management System providers that are partners in the Mastery Training Content Network™.
