When she was only 20 years old, Romy began her design career working in knitwear. Although she fell into this particular design work, she says today that creating fashionable knit clothes is her passion. The skills needed to create quality knitwear have almost become a lost art. "Knitwear isn't well-known among top designers because the techniques to work with it aren't taught anymore and they think of it as fabric only used in sportswear," she says. "But I believe this revival of versatile knitwear will be permanent. Women today want comfortable, high-quality, fashionable clothes for a variety of occasions, and knitwear delivers that."
