New Freight Matching Web App Helps Trucking Companies Fill Empty Truck Space
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2015 -- Finding loads to haul has always been a problem for owner-operators and smaller fleets. Especially when carriers or trucking companies have had to haul a load without knowing if they will have a load back home or a load to their next pick up for a load that has already been planned for the future. ComFreight is a new mobile friendly web application that has been helping smaller trucking companies find freight matches through their advancing freight matching app.
"The goal here is to help the smaller trucking company or carrier find loads ahead of time and easily setup visibility for existing capacity or free capacity they know they will have in the future and match these spaces up to loads in the commercial freight market," said Steve Kochan, CEO and Co-Founder of ComFreight. ComFreight boasts thousands of users and a growing direct shipper user base to help feed the empty truck spaces that carriers and trucking companies are entering or auto-posting into their system daily.
"We decided to re-launch the application as a web app because there is no software to download or install, no expensive load board contracts and user the ease of use for the users of the interface has been simplified to get them to the tools in the web app they need to find loads easily and save them as much time as possible," said Kochan. Because ComFreight works from any smart phone, tablet or device with a data connection more and more users are joining from smaller businesses where immediate access to a desktop computer or an office may not be readily available.
Freight matching on the platform is done by allowing carriers and logistics companies who are using the system to setup customizable alets for finding freight on or within range of specific lanes and within specific weight and lengths of loads within time windows specified by the users. The users only get alerted if loads match up to their capacity posts in the system if they match all of their parameters for the user's capacity or available trucks. "Connecting smaller carriers, owner-operators and logistics companies with larger commercial shippers and screened freight broker freight that matches their specific needs is our main goal with the freight matching capabilities of our app," said Kochan.
ComFreight does not take a percentage of any freight match made in the system thus allowing it's users to reap the full reward of payment for any load or new customer gleaned from it's commercial freight marketplace. ComFreight is planning on releasing more tools for it's users in the coming year including a more robust freight rate index tool to help companies determine if they are getting paid what the market rate is for a move as well as better user interface for it's growing segment of mobile users who are often times looking for loads from their smart phones.
ComFreight is located in Long Beach, CA and supports users across the United States and Canada.
