New High-Temperature Tag Stock Supply from Graphic Products, Inc.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- Some industrial operations, like steel mills, power plants, food processing plants, and wastewater treatment plants, have liquids that are too hot to handle—so just imagine trying to adhere a pipe label to the plumbing. For such facilities, DuraLabel has released a new high-temperature tag stock for any plant where high temperatures (or low) are the norm. Tags are used in lieu of pipe markers when a pipe diameter is less than ¾ inch, allowing a pipe’s contents can still be read from a reasonable distance.
The new tag stock holds up to long-term exposure at temperatures from ‐22°F to 446°F, and resists soil, oil, solvents, and detergents. They are also anti-static and feature high tear strength. They are useful for both indoor and long-term outdoor applications. Printed tags stay clear and flexible regardless of what they’re affixed to. Because of their thickness and durability they do not require a valve tag backer. Damaging these tags takes work.
DuraLabel tag stock is compatible with DuraLabel Toro, DLP series, or the DuraLabel 4000 thermal transfer printers, so users can add text, photographs, pictograms, arrows, symbols and other visual cues to for maximum visibility. Tags attach to valves and other components with pull-ties, wires, or chain.
Besides pipes and valves, other heavy-duty tag applications include:
• Lockout/tag out
• Quality and inspection tags
• Ladder inspections
• Circuit breaker tagging
• Equipment repair tagging
“Our customers demand excellent visibility, clarity, and durability from labeling supplies because high heat, wind, rain and exposure to oil and chemicals are all routine in industrial environments,” said Steve Stephenson, chief marketing officer at Graphic Products. “That’s why we’re constantly improving and expanding our supply catalog, which runs the gamut from wire and cable markers for telecom rooms to cryogenic supplies used in hospitals and laboratories.”
Graphic Products’ engineers have successfully tested and made available more than 50 supplies that are both abrasion- and weather-tested. Metal-detectable labels used in the food industry and barcode labels that help track major assets such as fleet vehicles and cranes have been introduced to solve customer problems. Special supplies for irregular surfaces, chemical resistance, and oily surfaces are consumed by mechanical contractors, petroleum companies, mines, and offshore rigs worldwide.
Graphic Products manufactures and distributes DuraLabel thermal transfer printers, which are bundled with free software for creating pipe markers, arc flash labels and wayfinding signs. Users can also create their own signs and labels using Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.
Graphic Products is a pioneer in the development of industrial, custom label-making technology.
