New Highland Park Integrative Health Center Helps Fertility, Breast Cancer
Highland Park, IL (PRWEB) March 10, 2014 -- Pulling Down the Moon, a facility that pioneered integrative care for fertility and has been in partnership with medical doctors for 12 years, has opened a new fertility and general health care holistic center in downtown Highland Park. The new location will treat fertility and pregnancy as well as hormonal health, teen anxiety, digestion concerns, allergies, chronic pain and breast cancer by integrating acupuncture, therapeutic yoga, nutrition and massage into medical treatment.
While collaborating with Fertility Centers of Illinois and top national fertility physicians, Pulling Down the Moon has helped thousands of women with fertility issues in their seven locations in Chicago and Washington D.C.
Approximately 75 percent of women who took the Pulling Down the Moon Yoga for Fertility class conceived within one year. Clinical data also showed that participation in the same class achieved a significant decrease in anxiety as measured by STAIT-TRAIT anxiety inventory.
Medical research suggests that nutrition and acupuncture--services offered at Pulling Down the Moon--may increase conception rates in women going through infertility. In a Harvard Medical School study with women who had fertility problems, 55 percent of women who completed a 10-week course of relaxation training and stress reduction were pregnant within a year, compared to 20 percent of the group who did not take the course. Another Harvard study presented in October of 2009 at the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine confirmed that stress management can boost success rates for women undergoing IVF.
