New Independent Lab Tests Give Dr. Tobias Fish Oil Superior Ratings

The research into the top 30 brands was conducted by trusted independent laboratory LabDoor, a company partly funded by investor Mark Cuban and by Rock Health, a nonprofit digital health incubator.

San Francisco-based LabDoor compared products, including those made by national nutritional chains, based on their product purity, projected efficacy, ingredient safety, nutritional value, and label accuracy.
The analytical testing was performed in an FDA- and USDA-registered laboratory in California with expertise in nutraceutical analyses. All testing methods followed standards set by The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3 (GOED), an industry trade association.
Optimum Omega 3 contains three to five times more DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) than most other brands in the market. It’s made from the best quality coldwater fish, which is then purified through one of the most sophisticated molecular distillation processes available.
