Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- A beloved Neuro-Cardiac nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania received an award on Thursday, June 12, 2014, after winning Console & Hollawell’s Vital Nurses Competition. Bridget O’Connor is a fourth-generation nurse known for her uplifting personality and her passion for interacting with patients. In the neuro-cardiac ICU, her work often contributes to saving patients’ lives.
“Nurses are an integral part of our communities’ medical facilities and their patients’ wellbeing,” said Richard P. Console, Jr., managing partner of Console & Hollawell. “We wanted to recognize exceptional nurses in our area because they do so much good in the lives of our clients, our friends, and our families. Nursing may be a tireless job, but it doesn’t have to be a thankless one. ”
This is the first year for the Console & Hollawell Vital Nurses Competition, launched in February to honor nurses for the important work they do. As the hearts of healthcare, nurses are essential to the wellbeing of patients. Individuals throughout New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania nominated their favorite community nurses for the award, which includes $500 in personal prize money, a $250 gift card to Life Uniform, and a catered meal for the winners ward, department, or office.
