New laboratory stainless steel filter press was delivered to Quebec, Canada

On 2017/02/20, the Canadian customer of MRC Mining visited the Uniwin factory located in Zhengzhou city, Henan province, China. In Uniwin's workshop, Uniwin staff showed them the whole process of filter press manufacturing, including filter plate manufacturing, frame welding, sand blasting, painting, etc. After that, the customers understood the basic working principle of how a filter press works, and then the customers had a long technical discussion with a Uniwin engineer and finally chose to buy 4 sets of SS304 coated filter presses.
This 4-set filter press will be used in their pilot plant, and after a successful running of these laboratory filter press, they will buy larger pieces of equipment for the commercial plant in the near future.
The filter press will be used to filter :
1. Slurry: serpentine + water, room temperature; PH=7; solid% = 25-30%;
2. Amorphous Silica + solution Mg(No3)2 + HNO3 (less than 30%); temperature: 60-80deg C;pH=0-2;solid%= 20-30%
3. Slurry: Fe, Ni, Cr/Mn (OH)x precipitate; temperature: 50-60 deg C; pH=4-6.5; solid% = 10%;
The filter press they ordered has the following advantages:
1. Full stainless steel, which is acid-proof so that the frame can last long in a corrosive environment.
2. Pure PP-made (polypropylene-made) made filter plates, which can bear 100.C temperature and 1.0 Mpa feeding pressure. However, for common filter plates, it can only bear temperature of 60 .C and pressure of 0.6 Mpa.
3. The filter press is equipped with an automatic control system, connected with the SS 316L diaphragm pump. So after they received the filter press, they can save a lot of time on pipeline works.
Given that Uniwin already has customers in these industries, Uniwin is confident that the filter press will get good filtering results.
After one month’s time from the order, Uniwin finished the production and delivered the filter press on time.
