New Live Webinar Discusses the Importance of Calibration
Greifensee, Switzerland (PRWEB) June 05, 2017 -- METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to present a new live webinar, "Calibration in Thermal Analysis”, on Thursday, June 20th, 2017. The English-language presentation, offered three times to allow participation from around the globe, will discuss the importance of regular instrument calibration in thermal analysis.
Calibration must be performed regularly to ensure reproducible and accurate results. However, unlike equipment that is only used to measure mass, thermal analysis equipment has a range of parameters that must be considered, including temperature, heating rate, and the main signal.
In the free presentation, METTLER TOLEDO will review instrument calibration and adjustment for differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), thermomechanical analysis (TMA), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Participants will learn valuable tips and hints, including:
• What influences thermal analysis results
• How often calibration should be performed, and
• How many reference substances are recommended.
METTLER TOLEDO will also show how modern software such as STARe can support this important task.
The presentation will conclude with a Q&A, so participants can have their most pressing calibration questions answered by METTLER TOLEDO experts. Register for the webinar and learn more about the role of calibration in highly accurate thermal analysis.
