New Memoir by Julia English Unleashes True, Authentic Self
MELBOURNE (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- After 17 years trapped in an emotionally abusive marriage, author Julia English decided enough was enough. She found the strength and courage to leave her husband taking a leap of faith and living a new life free of chains.
English’s new memoir, “Woman in Chains” (published by Balboa Press), chronicles her inspirational journey, beginning with her awakening to the reality of her situation, moving through the end of her marriage.
Fed up with the abuse, lies and cheating, English left her husband, promising herself that she would transform her life to one filled with love and happiness. With the help of her loyal friend, Ana, English learns to love herself, reconnects with her inner child and discovers.
“This book provides a model for letting go of the behaviors we have adapted to cope with the toxic relationship,” English says, “connecting back to who we truly are and moving forward to our own unique destiny and a more fulfilling life.”
An excerpt from “Woman in Chains”:
“‘Look closely at the picture. The woman is bound around the top of her body, however look down here.’ Margaret pointed to the tarot card. ‘Her legs are not bound, she can walk away. See, she also could cut the ropes that tie her arms to her sides with the swords around the fence. You see the same fear that got you into this situation is keeping you from escaping it. No matter how difficult your situation, this card shows you there are many options and ways to escape. The escape routes are there, waiting for you to use them.’”
